いやぁ〜、最近どこもかしこも「AI！AI！」って騒いでますなぁ。
MetaのザッカーバーグさんやOpenAIのアルトマンさんなんて、
「ユーザーのデータを集めて集めて、すごいAI作っちゃうぞ！」って顔してるわけですよ。
でもAppleさんは、あくまでプライバシー重視。
データを取らないでAIなんかできるんかい？と、思わずツッコミたくなる。
Siriさんだってまだ「すみません、よくわかりません」って返してくるのに、
大丈夫なんでしょうか。。。。。
ただねぇ、よく考えたら「データ全部抜かれて便利になりますよ！」
って言われても、正直ちょっと怖い。
Facebookの広告モデルをぶっ壊してまでプライバシーを守ろうとしたAppleの姿勢は、
まぁ立派ですよ。政府に「iPhoneのロック解除しろ」って迫られても断ったわけですから。
結局のところ、AIでトップを走るのはMetaやOpenAIかもしれないけど、
「安心して使えるAI」を打ち出すのはAppleなのかもなぁ。
遅れてるように見えて、実は“差別化”ってやつなんでしょうね。
うーん…Appleさんよ、頼むからSiriだけはもうちょっと賢くなってくれ。
ボヤきたくなるからさ。
Is Apple Falling Behind in AI? Or Winning with Privacy Instead?
These days, everyone is shouting “AI! AI!” from the rooftops.
Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg and OpenAI’s Sam Altman look like kids in a candy store, scooping up every piece of personal data they can to build their AI empires.
And then there’s Apple. Good old Apple, standing there with its arms crossed, saying, “Nope, we’re all about privacy.”
Honestly, you start to wonder—how on earth do you make a powerful AI without hoarding user data?
Siri, bless her heart, still can’t figure out half the questions I ask. And yet, Apple insists they’ll do AI “the privacy-first way.” Brave? Stubborn? Maybe both.
But here’s the thing: do we really want AI that knows every single detail of our lives? Apple blew up Facebook’s ad model with its tracking restrictions. They even stood up to the U.S. government when asked to unlock an iPhone. You’ve got to respect that.
So yes, maybe Apple lags behind in the AI race. But maybe they’re running a different race altogether—the one where you actually trust your devices.
Still, dear Apple… could you please just make Siri smarter? I’m running out of things to complain about!
